ImLive is the premier webcam website. It is run by the same company as Sexier. It has greater functionality and more hosts than Sexier which is why I've ranked it #1.
ImLive is designed in a similar fashion to the original chat sites such as iFriends. It has a non-sexual section which has tarot readers, counsellors, therapists, and even people who will teach you a new language or how to cook. I'm not sure this section gets much use and is most likely just there to give the site a sense of legitimacy.
Sexier is one of the newest adult webcam websites on the web. It is run by the same company as ImLive, which has been around for a while, and has a lot of experience in setting up a good webcam site. The main difference between the two sites is that sexier.com has a larger focus on Free Chat and has quickly become one of the best free cam sites around.
Sexier has a very modern design and the graphics on the site are high resolution. It uses light colored text on a dark background. This can help when viewing videos as it gives a better cinema feel which is less harmful to your eyes.
MyFreeCams is one of the most popular live adult webcam sites around. The popularity is no doubt down to it's amount of free content. It's designed more like a strip club than a traditional webcam site. Cam hosts make most of their money from tips rather than group or private chat. In fact many hosts don't go for group chat and prefer to take tips.
So like in a strip club you can just watch whatever's going on, or you can tip the girls and get special attention, or requests. You'll be amazed with what these hosts do for free.
I believe Cam Contacts is the best value paid webcam website. I've found chat hosts on there that charge as little as $0.50/min for live action. There are a lot of hot young babes on the site too so overall it's a great site.
Some of the drawbacks of the site are that it doesn't have free video chat, you can only chat live without seeing the chat host. Also the design of CamContacts is beginning to look a bit outdated. It also has a very small, low quality photo archive and no video archive. So for these reasons and I've ranked it #4.
CamToCam.com is a brand new site created by the team at Cam Contacts. It has all the features of camcontacts but with a updated look and feel. The main difference is the billing method.
