I've been addicted to adult webcam sex sites since they first began back in the late 90s. In 2004 I created WebcamsReviewed.com and I have been reviewing the best adult cam chat sites ever since. My reviews help fans of live sex cams determine which site is best for them in terms of value, quality and functionality. My Credentials
I am completely independant of the webcam sex sites. My site is not owned by any of those companies and I provide no webcam chat services directly. So you can be assured that my reviews are as objective as possible.
I have signed up to each of these sites and spend some time on them so I can give a more accurate review. Some sites have 1,000s of chat hosts on at any given time. The Reviews
After I've carefully studied a site and spent several hours studying the women on the site. (See the sacrifices I make for my users!) I then start writing out a formal review of the overall site. Each review starts with some general comments about the site.
Summary Table
I then create a summary table with the following items.
Webcams: A count of the total number of webcam chat hosts signed up to the site.
Online: An estimate of the number of hosts online at any given time.
Ave Cost: An estimate of the average cost per minute when going private with a webcam performer.
Free Chat: Whether the site offers any Free Chat YES/NO.
Established: The year the site was first created.
Babe Rating: My rating out of 5 of the average hotness of the chat hosts on the site.
Special Features: Shows which special features a site has. These include;
Photo Gallery - This webcam website has some form of photo gallery of the chathosts. Some webcam websites have 1,000s of free photos of webcam girls (18+) in action. Most chathosts will have several photos available from previous shows. In the members area they are fully x-rated pics. You simply need to apply for your free membership to get access to them.
Sound - Some or all of the girls on this site let you listen to them live. Usually you can turn off sound if you have a slow connection.
Phone Chat - This site allows you to call the girls and chat to them live while you watch them. Usually not all girls allow this feature but it should be clearly marked in her bio.
OhMiBod - Some of the hosts on this site have a vibrator called OhMiBod that is rigged up to vibrate when you tip. Often the bigger the tip the better the sensation for her.
Lovense - Some of the hosts on this site have a vibrator called Lovense that is rigged up to vibrate when you tip. The bigger the tip the better the sensation for her.
HD Video - This cam site allows you to watch some or all of the models in real time high definition video. Sites with HD content has now become commonplace. But it's still a great feature to have.
Cam to Cam - This webcam site allows the webcam models to watch you while you watch the models. This adds a whole new level of fun. You will need your own webcam obviously and a fairly fast connection for this to work properly.
Mobile Android - This site has been formatted for most Android devices. The navigation has been created specifically for these devices making it easier to get into seeing a chat host live.
Mobile iOS - If you own an iPhone, or iPad you may sometimes have been frustrated to find that your favorite webcam sex site can't be viewed. This is because Apple Devices using the iOS operating system can't use flash. But many sites now accomodate for this due to the popularity of Apple Devices. If the review includes this icon then you can view it on an Apple device.
Alexa Ranking: Alexa is a company run by Amazon. They use a range of techniques to try and determine what sites are visited the most. They rank all websites throughout the world. A low Alexa Rank indicates a popular site which is likely to have a lot of users but also tends to have a lot of performers and is very active. This can be a good thing or a bad thing. Depending on whether you want to have more private one-on-one time or don't mind joining the crowd.
Costs
One of the most important things to consider for me has always been cost. Watching webcams can become a very expensive habit. If you've signed up to a premium site and you aren't fully aware of what you're spending you can blow your budget pretty quickly. Often different chat hosts will charge different amounts depending on their perceived, beauty, or "talents". I try and give an average cost for an average host on the site. I also go into detail of the billing options and how much credits are in real dollar amounts so you don't lose track of what you are spending.
Hosts
Here I discuss the chat hosts on the site, how good looking they are, what countries they come from, how friendly they are etc. Some sites tend to treat their hosts better than others which gives the chat hosts a better experience. I think happy hosts put on a better show which ultimately gives you a better experience.
Niches
Most live sex cam sites have their chat hosts categorised into different groups. For example some of these groups might be Blondes, Asians, Latinos, 18-19 Year Olds, or Lesbians. Knowing the niches, and knowing that your preference is one of those niches might help you decide if the site is right for you.
Mobile
Many of the live sex sites used flash technology to stream webcams through their site. Most of the sites now have options for viewing the site on your portable device. I still think the watching on a PC or Mac is a superior experience but sometimes you need the convenience of a mobile device.
